Where to Stay

We're incredibly grateful to have people coming from all over New Zealand and Australia to celebrate with us at the farm, but accommodation close by is a bit limited, so here are your options:

Camping on the farm:

There is plenty of space for tents to be put up close to the reception and the house so you'll have access to showers and toilets if you'd like to stay on-site, plus we'll put on a delicious breakfast the next morning. If you'd like to camp but don't have gear or are flying in, please let us know via the RSVP form or message Gus/Sarah and we can ask around to see what we can pull together.

Te Kauwhata:

If you'd prefer your own accommodation nearby, there are some Airbnb options in Te Kauwhata, about 20 minutes' drive from the farm.

Hamilton:

Hamilton has a wide range of accommodation and is around an hour from the farm.

If any of this feels like a struggle to sort out, please just get in touch with us; we're happy to help however we can.

Similarly, if you're driving and have spare seats in your car, we'd love to hear from you to sort out some car-pooling!

Things to See

For those that have never visited the Central North Island, here are some of the places we'd recommend checking out if you want to extend your stay.

Coromandel

Beautful isolated beaches and mountains that are definitely worth a visit. Best day trips would be hiking the Pinnacles, walking Cathedral Cove, and visiting Hot Water Beach.

Waikato

A bit off the beaten tourism paths, but plenty to do and see. Within a couple of hours of Hamilton you'll find, tours of Hobbiton, great waves at Raglan, glow worm caves at Waitomo, and the Blue Springs near Putaruru (definitely a hidden gem).

Rotorua/Taupo

Iconically Aotearoa  with plenty to do and see including geothermal hot springs, the Tongariro Crossing and Lake Tikitapu.
